Mika has now come to the end of his first tour and he finished with three dates in London on 25th, 26th and 28th Feb and he certainly went out with a bang.

 The concerts comprised of a giant skeleton, an inflatable big girl, confetti, streamers,giant balloons and this was the only part of it! His gigs could be described as one long party with his catchy song lyrics and hyper tunes which everyone was jumping around to! For a few of his songs he also used a string orchestra made up of violins and a cello. The concerts stood for everything Mika and his songs are about; fun, craziness and a whole new reality! Whilst at the concerts it really felt like you were transported to a different world for 90 minutes with people dressed up as animals and crazy antics including Mika stripping topless for an impressive drumming showdown with Cherisse at the end of Love Today!

The highlight of the gigs for me was Mika's performance of Ring Ring, which is filled with energy and power (something which could not be shown through the album recording) and Any other world which comprises of Mika playing the main melody on the piano. This slow song always gets me as it is very personal and is an emotional song at the best of times!

 But, one thing that sets Mika apart from other artists is his appreciation and care for his fans which was shown when many of them (including me) were given wrist bands and invited to the after show party on the 28th Feb in the venue where we celebrated with Mika and his band at the success of the last 18 months! This was an amazing oppurtunity and showed us once and for all that Mika is genuine and really appreciative of his fans!!! After all, what other artist or band do you know have organised afetr show parties for their fans and given them free champagne to toast!!!
